The Mezrab | House of Creation aims to build a sustainable bridge between community-based storytelling and the professional performance art scene. We do this by listening carefully to the specific needs of each storyteller and by designing unique trajectories for each professional development.
From sparking the desire to turn their stories into an evening show, throughout the artistic process, up until organizing the premiere and a nation-wide tour, we stand by our artists.

Who We Are
Farnoosh Farnia — Artistic Director & Storytelling Coach
Farnoosh is co‑founder of the Mezrab Storytelling School and co‑director of House of Creation. She works as a storyteller, dramaturg, and coach, and is known for her focus on presence, urgency, and the relationship between performer and audience. She believes strongly in self‑made artists and in storytelling as a live exchange: a story changes depending on who is listening. Since 2021, she’s artistic director of the Amsterdam Fringe Festival.
Renske Ebbers — Creative Producer
Renske is the creative producer of HoC. With experience in cultural production and talent development, she guides makers through every step of the creation process — from early ideas to premiere and touring. She builds clear, supportive structures that help storytellers experiment, grow, and work professionally. She lives between Vienna (Austria) and Amsterdam, and works a.o. with ImPulsTanz and Mixed-Abled Dance.

Artistic expertise A pool of directors, choreographers, composers, videographers, circus artists, musicians and other creatives that can be connected to a project based on the needs of the storyteller.
Freelance Producers A pool of producers with experience in storytelling shows, from which one producer will stand by each storyteller throughout the whole process.
