Fer is on a deadline is a one-man show inspired by a year of terrible timing: a friend’s death, a scary diagnosis, and a
breakup. Blending comedy, stories and songwriting, Fer opens up on how to continue living your life when you know you are going to be sick, you just don’t know when.

Fer first started thinking about death in his teenage years, when he realized that we are all mortal. He had many feelings about it, mostly negative. Until his therapist at the time, a woman who used to forget his name, took away his anxiety with a rhetorical insight:

“—You are paralyzing yourself with the fear of death, you kneel before the only problem that you cannot solve. Just so you don’t have to face the problems you that can solve.  What you fear is not death, Federico. What you fear is life.

—My name is Fernando.

—Yeah, Fernando. Sorry.”

Now that the Grim Reaper seems to be waving at him from every street corner, Fer goes on a quest to find meaning in a mortal life. Hoping, at the very least, to give the Reaper a good laugh. A show about living with a deadline; about love, friendship, and finding yourself again.
